Now that the dust has settled on Brighton Digital Festival 2016 and we’ve had a few good nights sleep to recover, we’re able to reflect on what has been another record-breaking year. The festival has surpassed itself yet again, as it does each year, not only in regards to size but in terms of passion, accessibility and collaboration.
Digital innovators, makers, artists, businesses and academics came together at over 190 events throughout September to celebrate digital culture, to push technology forward and to utilise it for social change. We saw exhibitions, installations, conferences, workshops and performances that covered topics from radical imagination and progress; place, ecology and digital; food waste and technology; digital and disability and so much more.
The success of the festival is entirely dependent on the enthusiasm of the event organisers who work tirelessly to create events that are creative, educational, entertaining and relevant to the ever-changing world of digital technology. Thank you for your continuing support and we look forward to see you all next year!
