Saturday 7th October (ages 7+): Timelapse animation - Explore short animation as an art form. Children work to draw and photograph their animation using dedicated animation software, cameras, whiteboards and props. They record and add sound and finally add titles and credits/music. By the end of the day children will have completed a short animation with sound, titles and credits.
Sunday 8th October (ages 9+): Lego animating - A day of making, breaking and animating Lego and minifigures! Children create and construct a stage set and mini figures using Lego. They then storyboard an animation idea. Children light and photograph their sets and finally edit their animations to add sound effects and music. They can write and record scripts to add if the choose. By the end of the day children will have completed a brick film with sound, titles and credits.
Children aged 7 to 14. No previous experience of animation necessary but if you have animated before we can help you to build on this too!
