Exploring how you can lead digital inclusion and change for community, voluntary and public services.
“Everyone’s online now”. “Digital transformation is the responsibility of our IT staff”. “The digital inclusion problem will eventually solve itself”. “Our service is a people service, not a digital one – we’ll never stop seeing people face to face” … If any of these statements sound familiar or you have an idea that the opposite could be true, then we’d love to see you at this workshop.
Citizens Online are a UK digital inclusion charity with a pedigree in leading organisations and communities through the online revolution. In this session, we’ll be discussing the ins and outs of being a leader in a digital age, with a particular focus on community, voluntary and public services.
We estimate there are over 30,000 adults in Brighton and Hove who are at risk of digital exclusion - it’s possible your services might be supporting some of them. We’ll be delving into what Digital Inclusion means for health, social care, unemployment, citizenship, education and social wellbeing.
Together, we’ll explore how we can all be better Digital Leaders in our own work and how you can be part of a resilient digital inclusion ecosystem for the city of Brighton & Hove.
So come along and find out how digital transformation is not the keepsake of IT geeks - it’s yours to have, hold and mould.
Managers and leaders of community, voluntary and public services with an interest in digital as a force for good.
