South East Dance, Our Future City and Artswork are proud to present a special event as part of the series of #BeCollective networking events at The Basement.
This will be another, free and entertaining networking event for anyone interested in digital culture and creativity, Arts Award and how they can improve the lives and futures of children and young people.
The event has a focus on digital wellbeing, Arts Award and digital resources for people working with children and young people to empower them and enable them to navigate the future world they will live in. The session will provide networking and informative discussion led by partners working directly with young people, digital and the arts industry. The evening will include a showing of a short Channel 4 commissioned film, ‘Digital Tattoo’ made by Katie Dale-Everett, a young person who is a professional dance artist and film maker and a mini workshop by Francesca Gkotsi and Dave Darch on easy to use digital resources.
In addition you can also opt in and book to join us for a FREE two hour workshop from 2-4pm on E-safety: keeping children safe online led by Safety Network.
Or if you are a dance teacher you might be interested in an Inclusive Dance workshop led by our partners Rounded Rhythm.
Both additional workshops are 14.00 to 16.00 on Thursday 12 October 2017, Lighthouse, 28 Kensington Street, Brighton.
The event is open to primary and secondary teachers, freelancers and staff in arts and cultural organisations who work with children and young people and for this event we welcome people from across the south east region to attend.
