Brighton Photo Health Walk Taster
Go on a serendipitous photo health walk with a photography professional. Let your creativity evolve without the contraints of formal teaching but with plenty of time to experiment and ask questions. You may take 1 image on the way or 100. You may want to record sound or video. You can bring a phone, digi or film camera or you may come without any equipment- perhaps have your portrait taken in a beautiful setting?
Technicalities do not matter on this walk but the experience and flow of ideas are the vague objectives. This walk is aimed at the over-digitised, over-stimulated and stressed-out professional who needs time out, engage with fresh air, let off steam, re-discover the moment and creative self. Or anyone who hasn’t been creative in a while but would like to get back to it…
You will be sent the exact meeting point/ details the day before the walk. The photo walk itself will last approx. 2h. We’ll gather for a picnic at the end to see what it’s done for you. Ends approx. 2pm. Bring good walking shoes, hydration and a small bite for a beach picnic (weather permitting).
There are 2 stiles and 1 steep hill and unfortunately this walk is not suitable for prams or wheelchair users. The rest of the walk is moderate. Kids from age 6 should be fine. For any more questions please contact: [email protected]

The Whitehall II study which has monitored the health of 7000 London-based civil servants over a period of 18 years has found solid links of stress to heart problems. “Aside from being beneficial to overall good health, new studies show that exercise has the power to trigger major chemical and physical changes in the body, resulting in a significantly reduced experience of daily stress.”
