Brighton Recall - 2014
Brighton is a city of stories and writers from Jane Austen to Charles Dickens; Julie Burchill to Nick Cave have used it to tell their stories, now it's your chance to do the same.
As part of Brighton Digital Festival 2014 New Writing South will be mapping the stories of Brighton using HistoryPin.
Brighton Recall invites you to share your memories and stories of Brighton on a map of the city. Whether it was a great night out, the loss of of love, the birth of your child or just a memorable day on the beach, we want them all.
To add your story you can sign up to Historypin upload a photo, video, or recording that either tells your story or connects it to the place where it happened alongside a short explanation of the story that connects to your photo, video, or recording. Please make sure to add the tag ‘Brighton Recall‘ your story so we can add it to the collection.
There will also be drop in workshops on Tuesday 2, 9, and 16 at The Writers’ Place, where you can come and share your stories with others in a relaxed and informal setting and have help uploading it to our digital collection.
There will be a final presentation of a selection of stories on Tuesday 23 September, location to be confirmed.
