Flashlit Fiction is a live literature slam brought to you by the Brighton Literary Promoters Grit Lit and Story Studio, together with flash fiction website Paragraph Planet.
The literary event of the last two Brighton digital festivals is back! Run by literary promoters Grit Lit and Story Studio together with creative writing website Paragraph Planet, it’s a night of digitally-enhanced story-telling. This time at a new venue – The Latest Bar in Manchester St, Brighton – it will be feature a cutting edge fiction slam, two Twitter competition and experimental audio bands.
The evening will feature:
- 12 flash fiction authors competing against each other to be crowned Flash Lit Fiction Champion 2013
- The announcement of the shortlist for our Twitter story event – winner decided by audience vote
- A new Twitter event that runs through the night
- Experimental Music
The evening event will be complemented by a daytime programme of activity that addresses the digital divide within the literary and creative writing community, bringing digital technologists and writers together. It will feature a flash fiction workshop and discussions and tips on Social Media, Blog creation, e-publishing and other online platforms.
