Improv For Professional Creativity : A Workshop For Digital and IT Professionals - 2014
A fun, exciting workshop where you will learn how improv can enhance your professional creativity, productiveness, collaborative ability and design genius.
This is a fun hands-on workshop facilitated by Gerry Thompson of Positive Comedy Learning and Development. It’s free, but you need to register.
Professional creativity is crucial in the digital, IT and creative sector – whether you’re a designer, developer, team manager, or CEO; whether you want to develop your personal capabilities, run more productive meetings, grow creativity in your company, design the next killer product – or just think differently.
Learning improv is an excellent way to enhance your creativity – to say yes to your creative impulses and to those of your professional team mates, and thus hugely enhance collaboration and productivity. Improvisation is fun – but it also promotes serious learning.
You will come away from this very practical session with lots of ideas for enhancing your own professional creativity and your ability to collaborate productively, as well as learning creative exercises you can run in your own business or agency. You don’t need to have experienced improv – all the better if you haven’t.
Gerry Thompson is a stand-up comedian, improviser and trainer, who runs Positive Comedy Learning and Development – using comedy and improvisation to help people develop skills for work and life and specialising in the creative/digital/IT sector. Gerry is co-author of the forthcoming FT book, Gamechangers: Critical decisions by inspirational business leaders, and what we can all learn from them.
