For one night only, Loop.Coop will take over The FuseBox at New England House, and transform it into a cutting-edge Aladdin’s cave, agleam with digital delights.

We’re celebrating the launch of Looptopia — a strange and beautiful music making platform where you can sculpt music visually and immerse yourself in an otherworldly musical experience.

Expect blissful tunes, immersive visuals, interactive installations, live dance and performance. Together with your fellow party goers,  take the chance to try out Looptopia as it is projected live, and see your musical-creations come to life within the space.

This event will also feature an exciting collaboration between Loop.Coop and The Fusebox Artist in Practice, CiCi Blumstein. Throughout BDF as part of her new project Croaking Drain, Hidden Frog, CiCi Blumstein aka Agent Amphibian will be probing Brighton’s drains and gullies, collecting underground croaks and sighs, mumblings and rumblings, choirs and choruses, reaching down to the deepest hidden base-layer of stories that make up this city… Then, using technology provided by Loop.Coop, she will bring all these mysterious field recordings together in her interactive CROAKORUS installation at the Looptopian Launch, live-composing & croak-mixing throughout the night — this is not one to miss!

What is Loop.Coop?

Loop.Coop is a cooperative which uses emerging web technologies and live events to explore untrodden musical ground. We’re interested in finding more collaborative, more original and more fun ways of making, listening to, and even seeing, music. We’re currently participating in the Fusebox 24 programme at Wired Sussex, and based in New England House.

What is Looptopia?

‘Looptopia’ is Loop.Coop’s first offering. It’s a strange and beautiful 3D web app, where you can jam with other users around the world, sculpt visual models of your tunes, and immerse yourself in a new musical experience.

Looptopia is a new breed of multiplayer creative app, where thousands of users can collaborate in real time. You can listen to other people’s tunes, build up a collection of sounds you like, and compose a tune of your own — no musical training required. Each tune becomes a permanent feature of the landscape, as we fill Looptopia with beautiful music.
