Open Studios at Cogapp - Project People Meetup Launch Breakfast
Friday 27th September: 8.30am – 10.30am
We are proudly launching the Project People Meetup at this year’s Open Studios.
People make projects, and usually there is one person who is responsible for delivering that project. If that person is you, then the Project People Meetup is the place to be!
PPM is for Project People; people who are responsible for winning and / or delivering projects, and who want to swap tips, problems and experience with others. Whether you manage projects, client accounts, partner or supplier relationships, internal production teams, social media, web or mobile strategies and solutions, you all have something in common: the ability to work with a wide range of people really well; to manage expectations, to manage processes, plus co-ordinate teams and suppliers and other channels, in order to deliver smart solutions to clients.
Join us for coffee & croissants for a chance to talk about the kind of challenges faced by people in these key roles and what might constitute ‘best (or better) practice’.
- How do you let creative minds run free without blowing the budget?
- How do you make tech and design work harmoniously?
- What if users don’t like what you made?
- Do wish you had approached a particular project in a different way? What would you do differently?
- In an open plan office, exactly how much swearing is acceptable when Excel crashes?
We found there wasn’t really a forum to talk about this stuff, so this event is designed to provide an opportunity to discuss common problems, debate different approaches, share experiences and exchange knowledge about the role of people in creating success in a virtual world.
Experience tells us that spending time with like-minded professionals working in a similar role is often the best and most useful interesting way to learn and enhance skills, as well as get support, which is really important.
The Cogapp Production team are happy to kick off proceedings and talk through some recent projects and challenges and issues we have faced, how we overcame them, what type of approach works really well and how to know when to walk away.
We can feature a Q&A and will have some senior folk around who can offer expert advice, but WE NEED YOU! We’re up for sharing our experience to make the digital projects we all work on even better. Join us! If you all find it useful then we’ll make it a regular thing.
We hope you can come along.
