Photoworks Ideas – Katrina Sluis
Throughout the festival, Photoworks will release specially commissioned online articles for their Ideas series – where curators, artists, photographers and thinkers from different fields of expertise respond to questions around photography and digital culture.
Katrina Sluis, Curator of Digital Programme at The Photographers’ Gallery will discuss the challenges and issues associated with displaying online content within the institutional framing of the gallery.
Sluis will draw on her exhibition Born in 1987: The Animated GIF where artists, writers and practitioners were asked to create a GIF for display in the gallery and online.
