Platform B is a new not-for-profit youth-led radio station based in the Green Door Store, an acclaimed music venue and nightclub underneath Brighton railway station. The station is directed by next generation DJs, producers and presenters who are re-imagining and diversifying the traditional sound of radio. Platform B is currently broadcasting live online and is now looking forward to a full launch which will include Ofcom licensed FM and DAB on the 1st October this year.
In celebration of the launch of Platform B, the station is going on the road on Saturday 6th October to engage with young people from diverse backgrounds across the city. This will be a fully mobile pop-up broadcast on a Brighton & Hove Fringe Bus using 4G technology. The broadcast will include DJs, live MCs and talk shows discussing topics including gender politics, mental health, social media vs. privacy and the future of work.
